Game Night

My soccer game tonight was...entertaining (only word for it). Here's the stats:

• 3 goals against us, 0 for
• 2 blue cards (2 minutes in the box for each card)
• 4 yellow cards (4 minutes in the box for each card)
• 1 red card (Out of the game, 5 minute penalty, and game suspension)
• 1 horrible referee
• A lot of bumps and bruises, including myself getting a knee to the head (I'm the goalie)
• And, a lot of swearing

Now, let me just say that a typical women's soccer game in my division will average a card once every 3 or 4 games so you can imagine the craziness that was this game! I think the highlight of the chaos occured when a woman on the opposing team threw herself into the boards and managed to give us a card for her diving. O no...the highlight had to be when Paige, from my team, threw a punch at the back of another girl's head after she was taken down. Rough game...better luck next week, Mavericks.
